Hi! I’m Val (they/them),
a Queer, non-binary,
Kinesiologist, Strength
Coach, facilitator and movement nerd. My approach to movement is through a trauma-informed and inclusive lens that helps folks learn how to re-narrativize movement, fitness and their relationships to their bodies. It also includes many a dad joke, the occasional dance move and a lot of me talking about my puppy or a new gluten free baked good.
I specialize in chronic pain management, gender affirming approaches to movement (including top surgery prep/recovery) and size-inclusive, embodied strength training and weight lifting for anyone, from experienced lifters to folks who have never stepped foot in a gym before (spoiler alert-we also don’t ever need to step foot in a gym to work together).
